Project experience
- Represented interests of a group of companies (mining industry) in a complex dispute with one of the largest Russian banks for an amount exceeding USD 380 mln;
- Created a defense and interests representation strategy for an owner of a large IT holding in a dispute with the heirs of the asset’s former owner. Complex work to protect the client’s ongoing business from hostile takeover. The protected amount of assets exceeded USD 70 mln;

- Complex support for the client in the Russia’s central corporate conflict of the year 2020. S&K Vertical managed to ensure a maximum winning position in courts for more than 20 disputes, which led to settlement of controversies and signing of amicable agreements regarding mineral raw commodities worth USD 157 mln;
- Protected interests of the beneficiary of a large bank holding in a corporate conflict, which included disputes in various jurisdictions, in particular disputes regarding management bodies, challenging transactions with shares, and recovery of damages from management bodies in arbitration courts and within criminal proceedings. In this conflict the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation made a precedent-setting decision on the rights of the beneficiary (the Aspect-Finance case);
- Represented Russia’s largest retailer of electronics in a dispute with the federal mobile operator. The dispute, in particular, included protection of the client’s exclusive rights to intellectual property for a total of USD 1 billion. The legal proceedings ended up with amicable settlement of the parties;
- Represented bidders’ interests in disputes related to public procurement, protection of large contractors in connection with the unjustified termination of state contracts, inclusion in the register of unscrupulous suppliers, and collection of penalties;
- Structured and supported the transactions for the acquisition of an asset in Latvia worth more than 150 million euros;
- Provided complex legal support to one of the largest federal media holdings on issues of protection of assets and optimization of the holding structure;
- Represented interests in disputes related to the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation, pre-trial settlement of disputes;
- Represented clients’ interests in precedent-setting disputes with court decrees forming judicial practice on interpretation of matters of the Law on Insolvency (Bankruptcy) and of the Law on Joint Stock Companies.
